FRACTURED RIFTS
Liz is still dealing with being pregnant the only was she knows how: Obsessive Compulsiveness. Alisa catches her in her lie, leading to Liz finally owning up to her best friend that this time it's not a scare. After Ianto shows up, they discuss the best way for Liz to tell the boss man she's pregnant, and what Liz is and isn't allowed to drink in the way of coffee.
Owen moves in with Liz and they try to deal with the adjustments of cohabitation, including the fact that Owen's dog and Liz's cat are not going to get along. There's pizza and the discovery that they're both probably not going to suck at being parents. They've even got the teddy bears and baby books to prove it and are pretty sure they can even handle feeding the kid, once he (the Doctor has a hunch) shows up. Liz tried to pawn of the task of telling the Boss she's knocked up on her boyfriend, which he smoothly avoids by switching the topic to the nursery.
The next day, the baby monitor's Liz was sure she needed already aren't working, and in her focus doesn't realize Jack's being well, Jack.Sneaky bastard. She tries to weasel out of the fact she's in possession of something someone claiming to not be pregnant shouldn't have, but Jack finally breaks her with the temptation of coffee and cigarettes. To Liz's shock, Jack tells her Owen can decide if she's fit for field duty or not. With that out of the way, they're free to discuss the mess that was the Time Lord trial, and the lasting effects it's had on everyone.
Jack decided the Alisa, Gwen and Liz are in need of some relaxation, so he takes them out with a shiny new gun to take down some poor defenseless abandon lot junk. Unfortunately, that damn rift left a nasty surprise that was woken up when Liz blew up a fuel tank. The creature manages to paralyze Liz and take a chunk from her arm before it notced Jack's a better meal. Alisa and Gwen manage to take the thing down with the rocket launcher but not without leaving EVERYONE covered in monster goo. Again.
Back at the Hub, Owen throws his own personal brand of shit fit when he find out Liz was nearly eaten by a Rift Cthulhu. Liz eventually admits that Jack knew Liz is pregnant, but she insisted on going out. It was supposed to be routine, but these things never are. While Owen's intentions are good, Liz takes offense to the being treated like glass and bitches him out. After Owen manages to somehow find Liz's squishy girly center, he tells her she can go out, but only if he comes with and only for the next five months. Liz is grateful enough to throw caution to the wind with being affectionate with the man she loves at work, only to have it bite her on the ass when Gwen comes to check on her. She quickly tries to cover the affection, then witnesses Gwen get a bit wibbly on Owen. It's more funny than anything, and Liz isn't gonna push. She is, however, going to try and pawn Owen's dog off on Gwen. (active)
Liz is pretty damn happy she's going to be allowed in the field, and in spite of that still not working baby monitor, she settles down to study those piles of baby books. The good mood doesn't last long, though when she starts talking to Sad!Jack about what it takes to be a decent parent. (active)
Liz is running late to meet Jack and Gwen at the pub. Not that she can drink but for some reason she's been told to be there. Liz understands why when another Jack is there, more weathered and broken looking than most of the Jack's Liz has met, and that's saying something. After a strange conversation about nicknames and marriage, Gwen in Liz flee to the bar. Liz tried to be honest and comforting, but when Gwen admits her true feelings for 'her' Jack, Liz can do nothing but stammer like an idiot until Alisa shows up. (active)
Angie gets a bit freaked out that the boss is singing terrible pop music to his kids. Later she notices Patrick playing with a ring box and just has to ask what that's about. (active)
There's a new Jack in town, and in usual fashion , Hellboy thinks that cigars and beer will make the guy feel better. (active)
CANON
Liz and Red decide that telling Manning she screwed up might be the best course of action.
